Peter Kimbowa (P.K.) is the Managing Partner with the overall responsibility for Managing and Leading IFE Consultants. He is an internationally certified Trainer first by World Trade Organisation /UNCTAD and secondly by the International Finance Corporation, and a certified Public Sector procurement expert with over 20 years of work and Consulting experience gained in Uganda, East Africa, South Africa and Europe.

He has trained well over 50,000 people in more than fifteen countries in the last couple of years Peter is a leading Process and Resource Consultant with expertise in Governance, Enterprise Development, Strategic Planning, Executive selection, Leadership Development, Organizational restructuring, Research, Coaching, and Capacity building. Peter was awarded – The Best Professional Man of the Year by British Council and Management Forum-

IFE Consultants is the recipient of the International Arch of Europe Award for Leadership and Quality in Paris 2009.

2014

Peter has conducted many Corporate Governance retreats for the Public, Private and Civil Society organizations since 2005. Peter is an Associate of the Uganda National Academy of Sciences.

He is the Team leader for the partnership between CEO Summit and Strathmore Business School, Nairobi.

2011 – to-date

In collaboration with the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT) Makerere University, he is also the Project Coordinator of the first ever Vice Chancellor’s Innovation Hub…a concept being developed and field-tested for University Students in Uganda – starting with Makerere University.

This process will hopefully lead to student and fresh graduate participation in Eco/Community Industrial Parks and techpreneurship on one hand and the harnessing of productive synergies between the private sector and academia on the other. Focus: Defining the next generation’s Peter is a Selection and Recruitment Advisor – Muteesa 1 Royal University.

2009 – to-date:

He is a regular guest speaker at several Universities in Africa, Europe and North America on Leadership/Corporate Governance, Strategy, Sales, Personal and Business Success.

Peter is a trustee of the recently established League of East African Directors based in Kampala.

Peter with others – created one of the leading Private Independent THINK TANKS – The CEO Summit. It is composed of Tier 1 Corporate Captains of Business and Industry in Uganda. The Think Tank houses a multi-discipline team of Trustees and Associates – Thought Leaders and Research experts.

He is the Team Leader of the partnership between one of Africa’s finest Business Schools, Strathmore Business School, Kenya -and the CEO Summit Uganda to graduate the Region’s CEOs –In-Waiting (CEO Apprenticeship Programme).

Peter is a regular Guest speaker at: Makerere University, Kyambogo University, Kampala University, Uganda Christian University – Mukono, Makerere University of Science & Technology, Mbarara University of Science & Technology, the University of Dar-es-salaam, University of Kenya, speaker and panelist at the Harvard Business School.

Peter is the leader of the online “MBA” programme between Uganda and the University of Sunderland.

Peter has had over 20 years of hands-on Public and Private sector senior – level participation, Board level contribution and Project Leadership in a number of Local and Internationally based organizations, ITC/UNCTAD/UNCI Project Coordinator (UGA/ITC/59), Director of Public Procurement and Logistics services, Regular Guest Speaker at Universities in Africa, Europe and North America (including Harvard Business School), Internationally Certified SME Trainer by IFC/World.
